ZDRAWKO_70godiniZdravko Zahariev was born in Sliven, Bulgaria on the 23rd of July 1937.
  
He was one of the pre-eminent Bulgarian linocut artists of the second half of the 20th century. His linocuts cover a broad range of subjects but his main body of work is grounded in the atmosphere and history of Bulgaria and the Balkans. His mastery of the medium and formidable artistic talent underpins a style which is instantly recognizable.

 In addition to linocut, Zdravko Zahariev worked in the area of black and white drawing, painting, book design and illustration, exlibris, applied and monumental art, and television stage design and graphics.

Zdravko Zahariev passed away in 2009, leaving behind a diverse body of work, some of which is exhibited on this site.
